IF A DEATH OCCURS AT HOME:

In the event of an expected death at home you will
need to contact your surgery who will arrange for
a doctor to come to your home to certify the death.

IF THE DEATH OCCURS IN A CARE HOME, HOSPITAL OR HOSPICE:

Should a loved one pass away in a care home or hospice the nursing staff will contact us directly for you. They will supply us with your contact information and our funeral directors will call you. If the death occurs in a hospital you will be guided by the hospital staff to visit the hospital bereavement office. They will guide you accordingly but you will need to contact us directly to let us know that your loved one has passed away.

IN THE EVENT OF A SUDDEN DEATH:

In the event of a sudden death please call 999. The ambulance crew will be able to certify death and will liaise with the police. If the police feel they need to attend then the coroner will be involved. Should the police not consider they are needed then you can
